Oldham County Now Available on the App Store

Visitors and residents of the rolling hills of Oldham County now have a valuable resource at their fingertips. Red Pixel Studios and Oldham County Tourism announced today that the Oldham County App is now available for free on the App Store.

The Oldham County Tourism developed the Oldham County App with Red Pixel Studios of Owensboro, Ky., so that visitors can get information about the area – home to charming communities, beautiful thoroughbred horse farms and striking views of the majestic Ohio River – with a few flicks of their finger using their Apple iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

A product of Red Pixel Studio’s RPS | infoApp solution, the Oldham County App enables users to find out about the area’s many wonderful attractions and recreational opportunities.

The Parks & Recreation section provides users a convenient way to find the numerous outdoor activities in the area, while the Golf sections connects golfers to the county’s challenging courses. Calendar offers an easy way to know about upcoming events, exhibits and performances in Oldham County. Travelers can also use the App to learn about places to eat, sleep and shop.

The App also keeps fans up to date with Announcements about Oldham County, so they can be sure to get the latest information and reminders of upcoming happenings.

Considering today’s demand for the most current and up-to-date technology, Oldham County Tourism wants to offer visitors a convenient way to learn about everything this area has to offer.  “The App really gives us a powerful tool to connect visitors with Oldham County,” said Kim Buckler, Executive Director, Oldham County Tourism.  “It lets us use the latest technology to promote a vibrant community that offers so many opportunities to explore, play and learn.”

The Oldham County Tourism selected Red Pixel Studios to develop the App because they were able to incorporate the numerous features they wanted at a very low cost.
