See Springfield KY Now Available on the App Store

Visitors and residents of Springfield, Ky., now have a valuable resource at their fingertips.  Red Pixel Studios and Springfield Kentucky Tourism Commission announced today that the See Springfield KY App is now available on the App Store for free download.

The popular destination, where the Lincoln legacy began, developed the See Springfield KY App with Red Pixel Studios of Owensboro, Ky., so that visitors can get information with a few flicks of their finger using their Apple iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

A product of Red Pixel Studio’s RPS | infoApp solution, the See Springfield KY App enables users to find out about the area’s many wonderful attractions – such as the Lincoln Homestead State Park, where Abraham Lincoln’s parents wed in 1806.

The Festivals, Arts & Music section provides users a convenient way to plan to attend the numerous celebrations in the area, while the Calendar offer an easy way to know about upcoming performances and events around Springfield. Travelers can also use the App to learn about places to eat, shop, sleep or pray.

The App also keeps fans up to date with Announcements and News from Springfield, so they can be sure to get the latest information and reminders of upcoming happenings. There are also a guides to a walking tour of historic Springfield and a barn quilt tour.

Considering today’s demand for the most current and up-to-date technology, The Springfield Kentucky Tourism Commission wants to offer visitors a convenient way to learn about everything this area has to offer.

“The App really gives us a powerful tool to connect visitors with Springfield and Washington County,” said Kathy Elliott, City Projects Coordinator for Springfield.  “It lets us use the latest technology to promote a vibrant community that offers so many opportunities to explore, play and learn.”

The Springfield Kentucky Tourism Commission selected Red Pixel Studios to develop the App because they were able to incorporate the numerous features they wanted at a very low cost.
