Marion Kentucky Now Available on the App Store

Visitors to Marion, Ky., can now discover Kentucky's hidden treasure with a few flicks of the finger.  Red Pixel Studios and Marion Tourism Commission announced today that the Marion Kentucky App is now available for free on the App Store.

A product of Red Pixel Studios’ RPS | infoApp solution, the Marion Kentucky App enables users to get information about Marion using their Apple iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

The rolling hills of Crittenden County are home to Kentucky's largest Amish Community with a population of over five hundred. Cabinetry, furniture, baked goods and bulk foods as well as seasonal items such as plants, vegetables, pumpkins and gourds can be purchased from individual Amish families.

While visiting the Amish Community take your car on a boat ride across the Ohio River on the Cave in Rock Ferry. A free ferry runs continuous from the Kentucky side of the Ohio River to the southern Illinois town of Cave in Rock.

Marion is a bustling town with quaint shops that sell many beautiful handmade items, antique malls, delightful restaurants and coffee shops. The friendly people are always willing to visit and extend the Southern hospitality for which they are famous.

The Marion App features:
• Updates delivered via Apple Push Notification Service
• Events
• Amish Businesses
• Antiques
• Attractions
• Dining
• Hunting Lodges
• Lodging
• Shopping
• Location Map

“We are proud to have been selected to develop the Marion Kentucky App for the Marion Tourism Commission,” said Eric Kyle, president, Red Pixel Studios. “We’re also excited to be able to help increase awareness of Kentucky’s Hidden Treasure.”
