The Marshall County Tourist Commission developed the Kentucky Lake App with Red Pixel Studios of Owensboro, Ky., so that visitors can get information about the popular destination – one of the world’s largest man-made lakes – with a few flicks of their finger using their Apple iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

The App also keeps fans up to date with Announcements about Kentucky Lake, so they can be sure to get the latest information and reminders of upcoming happenings.

Considering today’s demand for the most current and up-to-date technology, The Marshall County Tourist Commission wants to offer visitors a convenient way to learn about everything this area has to offer.

Red Pixel Studios acquires downtown building for headquarters

We're moving!

Red Pixel Studios purchased a building in downtown Owensboro that will soon become our new headquarters.  There's a bit of work to be done – installing networking, carpeting, etc. – before we can occupy the space.  We hope to make the move in February 2011 and expect to continue offering excellent service during the relocation.

Here's an excerpt from an article that appeared in today's Owensboro Messenger-Inquirer.

Brothers Eric and Jason Kyle, owners of Red Pixel Studios, have bought the property at 111 E. Third St. and will move their company to the second floor of the 6,720-square-foot building.
The new owners paid $420,000 and closed the deal on the downtown building Thursday, spokesman Rob Howard said.
The Owensboro-based company formed in May 2001 and provides Internet solutions and design work for its customers. It is currently in rented space at 309 E. Second St.
"We've seen what's going on with downtown, with the (planned) convention center and riverfront and some restaurants opening up, and we're excited about the changes," Howard said.
Red Pixel Studios will move into the second floor with plans to rent the first floor. The investment in the building is a big step for the company, he said.
"A neat part of this story is that a couple of guys from Owensboro who were educated in Owensboro are investing in downtown Owensboro," Howard said.
